Thankful for Sam :]
It’s always good to look forward to something in every class. Those few people who you know you can count on to make you smile in class or someone to talk to for the class. It’s the best to know that there’s someone looking forward to see you as well.
I met Samantha Kania Freshman year at a quince. Over the four years here at Whitney we exchanged smiles and waves in the hall way, even a husband, but never even a class. Therefore, I’m really thankful for sixth period philosophy. She sat in front of me and the bond began. Whether it was over our beloved Vinny and Pauly D, wondering why we took AP Human, and many other random things. We never really go a class period without laughing and cracking jokes. Whenever we have group work we choose to work together and I always learn something from her, school and non-school related. Sam is possibly one of the sweetest girls at Whitney Young. She always listens, even if the problems seem small and insignificant, yet she always shows concern. One day I showed up in class in a bad mood and started to cry and she showed so much concern. I didn’t want to talk about it but it was great to know that she would be there and listen to me if I had wanted to talk about it.
So I’m pretty thankful for Sam, who would be excited as I am for the new Jersey Shore season? :D
Vanessa Rangel is my home girl. She's tough, she's from de efe. This girl is hilarious. We get along really good, and i hope stays this funny for a long time.
She's sweet too. She decent. Hahahaa. Love you vanessa :]

letter to mccarthy...
Dear Cormac McCarthy,
You’re one interesting man. Your writing is simple yet very complex, dark, deep, and so many other things, which I will admit can get very confusing at times. I had to read The Road for both my Philosophy class this year and my Creative Writing class last year. Obviously, my teacher thinks you have something to contribute to our class. Which is true, you did contribute to both classes.
For Creative Writing our teacher opened our eyes, with your writing, and showed us that inevitably every one of us will have our own style of writing. Maybe one has some attitude in their tone of writing, one may write with fragments, another that is clearly structured and a thought is not out of place, much less a period. It may not make complete sense to everyone else, but for us, it would, it’s our writing, if someone chooses to read it, great, if not, no loss no harm. That’s just how it is. If one wants to be a writer then they will have to get a thick skin and think in this mentality, and maybe their book will be award winning, fragments, simplicity, complexity and all.
Philosophy is a little, well a lot, more different. We read your story with much more depth, much more insight. This dark empty world, does it resemble ours? Does it show us what is important in life? Is it even supposed to show any of this? Was it merely a story of a son and his father, or rather a father and his son? Will my questions ever be answered? Probably not. But this is all kind of the point. Isn’t it?

classssssss 6th period.
The goal of education is to keep students enticed and keep them wanting to come to class everyday and learn something different. Now I’ll admit, I may count down the minutes in class, but only because my lunch is the next period… nothing against the class. Philosophy is one of my favorite classes. Much of that has to do with Mr. McCarthy. I have honestly never had a teacher who can hold attention of a classroom filled with thirty students, for an ENTIRE period. This is why I chose to take this class in the first place, all because of Creative Writing last year. Now that class may have been filled with chaos sometimes, but I honestly loved the assignments McCarthy came up with, our finals were great, and any writing assignments we had were unique and never heard of. You just couldn’t leave that class and not have laughed the whole period. The same is for Philosophy. There is always some joke made, and laughing happens more than once in this class. This is what makes this class so appealing. There are other classes that you arrive and leave sad. This is a direction that other classes need, Philosophy 6th period, is just fine. The best class I have so far.
And Creative Writing was the best class last year. :]

Ohhhh yeeaaaaaaahhh Blog Yeahhhhhh.
Father & Son
The macho pair who commonly use the man hug, a nice squeeze and pats on the back… classic. Is there more than meets the eye to this duo? Is there a problem with not gushing out their feelings? Not at all, but men are silly. They believe, to their core, that they have to be the rock of the family. The men have to be steady and supportive. This is why normal people can never get their emotions out in the open. This also explains the cavemen talks they have with one another, because they have to be the manly rocks…
Mother & Daughter
“I HATE YOU!”… An hour later… “Love you mommy.” These two are the classic bipolar pair. They gush their feelings out or hide them in a passive way. Who knows what’s real between them. The highs and lows of a rollercoaster mimics their relationship. Are they naturally dramatic or is it an inclination to start drama just to say they overcame it? Either way it can kill a relationship or make it stronger. As a matter of fact I think that mother and daughter relationships are the strongest of all relationships. No one, no matter how amazing they may be, can replace yo Momma.
Mother & Son
Nothing is worse than a Momma’s boy… Mothers ruin their sons, and their future wives and girlfriends’ lives. Yeah, I said it. Nobody will ever be good enough for these guys, no matter how imperfect these Momma’s boys may be. Nope, Momma’s ruin them. Then, they are incapable of love. All because their mothers couldn’t just LET GO! No, I’m kidding. Although these guys who let me say… have been, handicapped, by their mothers… will have a pickier selection when it comes to who they choose to become serious with. Just like in Jersey Shore! We all know that Vinny is a Momma’s boy and it takes him forever to stop being promiscuous in season two. Finally he settles down with that one Romanian chick Ramona. Maybe his mom shouldn’t have cleaned and cooked so much for him and he would have settled down earlier…
Father & Daughter
Ahhhh. The best for last. Fathers make princesses, the good fathers at least. I’m a princess, my dad always treated me like royalty, so many may argue that he ruined me just as a mother does her son. But, the way I see it, he just set my expectations very high for my future suitors. I am perfectly content with that, my dad prepared me to pick out the good guys from the Jerkfaces to find one good enough for this Princess.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaahhhh PRINCESSSS yeaaaaaaaaah!!!!!! :]
